JoŽlle Bitton, in collaboration with architect George Edwards, presents "White Square Of", a pop-up exhibition of 50 objects, printed with a MakerBot over a week.

The objects were all selected based on specific criteria:

  • - availability on Thingiverse
  • - familiarity with our daily life
  • - usefulness

Visitors of the exhibition will be allowed to take one of the objects and in exchange write up a description on paper, as well as choosing a new object to be printed off in replacement.

This exhibition is part of a research on the appropriation of tools of digital fabrication, in the SiDE project at Culture Lab, Newcastle University.

The exhibition is hosted by B & D Studios, in their communal space. (Vane building, 3rd floor, on the right).
